01 — Solutions
A festival map app for the people on the field
A festival site map is the screen people open most on the day. STUMaps makes it a festival map app that works in a crowd: find the stage, see who plays now, walk there — even when the network is down.
02 — The problem
What goes wrong at a festival
- The map is a PDF that nobody can zoom on a phone in the dark.
- The programme lives in another app, and nobody knows what is on now.
- Mobile data dies when everyone is in the same field.
- A message to all visitors has no channel apart from the stage screens.
03 — The fix
How the map fixes it
One link or QR code opens an interactive map of the site with the programme built in.
- Stages, bars, toilets, first aid and camping as tappable places with categories.
- Now and next on every stage, in festival time, including sets after midnight.
- Walking routes from the camping, the gate or a friend’s meeting point.
- Alerts from the organizers and evacuation routes on every open map.

06 — FAQ
Questions
Does the festival map work without mobile data?
Yes. After the first visit the map, the routes and the programme load from the phone. Ask visitors to open it once before they arrive — in the ticket email, for example.
Can we change the programme during the festival?
Yes. The programme is part of the venue data; an update reaches visitors the next time their map loads it. For urgent changes use an alert.
Can the map show only our own brand?
Colours, fonts, logo and wording come from configuration, for the light and the dark theme.
Does it work in our festival app?
Yes. The app opens the map in a WebView and can open a stage, build a route or switch the language through the bridge.
